The tall pink building in the center of the picture is the famous Boca Raton Resort and Club. And at the far right you can see part of Royal Colonial Apartments-- a wonderful place for you to live!
The bridge is on a schedule, so take a few minutes to explore... the bridge just might be getting ready to open! You will definitely see some action here!

You are looking north along the Intracoastal Waterway in Boca Raton, Florida, USA. Large and small vessels, sailing, sport fishing, and cabin cruisers from all over the world are seen to pass through this waterway. Most of our visitors come during our fine winters: December through April. However, the local boaters and charter fishing vessels pass by year-round.
You'll have the best luck seeing a passing boat if you come by during a bridge opening (see schedule below).

The drawbridge in the livecam view is the Camino Real bridge. It is a low bridge, so vessels of any appreciable height will require an opening -- especially at high tide. So your chances of seeing a bridge opening are pretty good if you review the schedule below.
Our busiest months are December through April. But, there is activity year-round. We are less than 1/2 mile from the ocean inlet, so you will see lots of those tall sport fishing boats passing by as they leave for and return from the sea. You might even catch one of the lunch cruise boats (at lunch time, of course)! See the schedule ...

The Camino Real Bridge has the following schedule (as of August 2004):
Occasionally, the bridge opens for a vessel declaring an emergency. Barges are usually given immediate openings.
